Be prepared for your foodie tour!

Is there parking available?

Parking is available at nearby parking garages. Second Street Garage allows for free all day parking and is centrally located between the start and end point of the tour.

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

Please be sure and let us know if you (or anyone in your group) has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, diabetic, allergy, etc.) when you purchase your tickets. As long as we know 24 hours in advance, we can accommodate your needs.

Do I need to tip the tour guide?

Although not compulsory, tipping is expected and is an expression of satisfaction with the people who have assisted you throughout your tour. Although it may not be customary to you, it is of considerable significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels.

At the end of your tour, if you felt that your Rooted Fork Foodie Tour guide did an outstanding job, tipping is appreciated. The amount is entirely a personal preference, however as a guideline 15-25% of the cost of the tour, or $15-25 per person or is appropriate.

Are Children allowed?

Unfortunately, no. The tour is for adults 18 and over.

What should I bring with me?

We recommend bringing a camera, wearing comfortable shoes, and a hungry belly! When it’s really hot out, we recommend sunscreen; during the cooler seasons it’s important to bring a jacket! We are not outside for extended periods of time but it never hurts to be prepared.

Do we only walk around and sample food?

Absolutely not! Our tours combine architectural commentary, historical facts, local culture and culinary insight into a unique 3-hour experience. Imagine walking through Napa eating our local artisans most delicious foods while learning the neighborhood from a real local!

How much alcohol is included?

There are 4-5 stops that will include alcohol. Tastings adds up to approximately two (2) full size drinks. Accommodations can be made for those wishing to refrain from alcohol.

Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?

All tickets must be purchased at least 24 hours in advance. Tickets can only be purchased online with a Visa, AMEX, or MasterCard. Walk-up and cash sales are not accepted.

If a food tour is sold out, can I get on a waiting list?

We do not provide a waiting list. Please email or call us to let us know what date you are interested in if you do not see availability.

Are bathrooms available during the tour?

Yes, bathrooms are available during the tour at most restaurant locations.

What do we do in case of bad weather?

The tours are held rain or shine. We will be inside the establishments throughout the tour, however we do advise to check the weather conditions for the day of your tour and dress appropriately. In the event of severe inclement weather (which we rarely experience in Napa), tours may be cancelled with 24 hour advance notice.

Are tours handicap accessible?

All locations are wheelchair accessible.

Does the tour come in other languages?

At this time, we do not offer tours in any other languages except English.

Do you support corporate or private events?
